hm.. actually i disagree with u.. i don't think that if she's attached, yall will be able to be best friends.. i've been there before, and well, u just end up trying to be there for her all the time, but
the fact is that she's gonna turn to her bf first.. and u'll be like telling urself that u sacrificed all ur time and effort for nothing. that was how i felt.
and i think
ultimately.. between a guy and a girl.. there're only 2 levels - lover or friend. i think its extremely extremely hard for a guy to have a girl best friend.. cos next time ur gf/wife won't be happy, and her bf/husband also won't be happy and it'll be all very unhappy la. i know how u feel man.. but maybe you should try to just let go and see her as a friend?
honestly, as a friend who has been there before,
if u want your friendship with renee to survive beyond the next few years, let go now. and remain just as normal friends, with no high expectations as you do now.. and maybe, maybe just maybe if if if she breaks up with her current bf, she'll find you the same caring friend that u are (if u haven't already gotten attached to someone else la)
if you go to all lengths to prove your 'worth' to her, i feel its trying to tear her between her affection for her bf and maybe for u.. and i think that's quite unfair to her
and well
this may be tough to hear, but in the first place, i think u've had your chance to win her heart? maybe you had already won it.. but whether due to that you wanted to wait.. or because of cimcumstances, france and all that..
u didn't take the plunge to commit to her, and like u said la, she has the right to move on..for once, it's someone else putting my tots down in words.
