hmm,they were some pretty decent bands playing out there.not surprisingly, 2 bands played sweet child 'O mine by guns and roses ;) however,the 1st band's vocalist wasn't good enough la.sad.the bass n guitars were playing great.whereas teh 2nd band's guitar player wasn't so consistent.haha.dennis n i were just singing our hearts out to the song man. :D:D haha.monica can sing really well.
finally it reached our turn.hmmm,the sound quality wasn't good la..one of the guitar amp was spoilt and hongrui had to use the mini-amp instead.in the end we all had to lower our volume :( hahaha.den after chongpeng did his thunderstruck intro, we got into the groove on things.haha.things went on pretty smoothly n i had a easy/fun time jamming out there in the public man.gosh.i was missing tt feeling the very moment i unplugged my bass le..haha.
anw.was abit gek cos the next band played 2 songs, while we onli got to play one song.apparently,we were supp to play 2 songs each,but the 1st few stupid band didn't bother to sound check n took soo damn long to set up.in the end,we had to settle fer one song.after we played, the next band got to play 2 songs cos they set up their stuffs quickly..nort tt we didn't get to do so,but we decided to use the time to play the thunderstruck intro cos we tot we were entitled to one song onli.was bit pissed after tt..
BUT.all was solved when the band from S79 got on stage~!! they played Zombie by The Cranberries~!!! omg.how chio is the song la..and the vocals is damn hard to sing.pls.it's really high even fer a female vocalist.but PAK MING pulled it off nevertheless~!!! soooo awesome.kkk.the band started off really well.it was really the 1st song tt felt like it's played by a pro band.everything was nicely synchornised and every instrument can be clearly heard.den the bassline comes in.. *awaits with much anticipation* den it's time fer the vocals to strut his stuff.it'll make or break the whole song.it started off a lil scratchy fer him.i guess he was a lil paiseh and didn't dare to try to go high..but when he broke tt mental barrier...it was wayyyy-cooool..the crowd starts to go crazy n gave him the clap once his verse was over.this con't into the next verse n fills.eventually when the song ended, the crowd goes wild and clapped non-stop.whistles of respect n joy could be heard.i myself gave him a standing ovation.it was a grand moment indeed.after tt performance, i dun mind getting kicked out, as long as they're in :D
anw,dramafeste at nite.haha.ares thrashing.lemme sum up the highlights
-good eerie music
-nice use of props.doors and the 'talking' obituary
-awesome cast.emotional n bring across the plot really well
-very smooth arrangement of scenes.from the distorted starting to the clear revealation scene at the end to link everything up.
-the tong tong qiang scene.mwhahaha.god-like
-the cheerleaders dancing scene.haha.i tot it would be a short diversion n fun.den it went into a full routine and shamelessly took up 5 min of the play.haha.had a real good laugh there.
-the almight shadows in the killing scene
-the use of bright lights for negotiation
-the 'dizzy-effect' lightning
-the clowns.the Clowns...conscience of the mind.daddy whoops.at 1st seem a lil funny.but when it started looping.the effect was felt n it made a really really great impact on the poor chap.
*hahahaha.gabriel choy n his buddy tt is whacking everyone up b4 dissappearing.haha.
