some background info.
Eric Clapton is a british guitar legend.plays both classical n electric guitar.this guy has his own custom guitar.ppl often look at clapton as some old fatherly celebtrity.nort knowing who he really is at all.in fact,in his younger days,he used to be quite a rocker i guess.u noe,with all the drugs, booze n ladies ard him.clapton was part of the '70s (or '60s) supergroup, Cream, playing along side with bassist, Jack Bruce and drummer, Ginger Baker. together they realeasd the awarding-winning album - disraeli gears.popular songs by them inculude all time fav, sunshine of your love, badge, white room etc.they played classical rock.
anw,the band eventually splitted up due to internal conflicts caused by their super-sized egos.clapton soon went solo and played songs like cocaine and layla.good stuff.
however, i supp he toned down alot alot after the decease of his dear son..one day his son was playing at home.den he somehow smashed through the body-length glass window and fell to his death.(clapton stayed in a high rise apartment den) clapton was utterly devasted den.some ppl believed he wrote his best songs den..if i m nort wrong, he released an album in memory of his son.'Tears in Heaven" , as all of u mite might haf heard of, was written in memory of his son.beautiful, mellow song..
"coz i know, i don't belong, here in heaven.."anw,he doesn't play these sadder songs anymore, those written after his son's death.he said tt it took him a lot of emotion to play these songs live.now tt he has gotten over his son's death,he decided nort to play these songs animore.my blessings to him.
anw,didn't heard of crossroads b4.after watching the show,i concluded that it was a guitar festival,Mega guitar festival.lotsa all time greats performed during the concert man.mostly the blues n country players.anw, the 1st song played by clapton was layla.classic.wad a pleasant way to start the show.fer a guy his age,it's amazing how skillfully n effortlessly the way he pulled out his licks n solos la.haha.

John Mayer and Pics :john mayer was up next.boi..i knew this guy had some talent with the guitar la.nort just another poppy crap.he talked alot abt the elders on stage n showed lotsa respect fer them.and boi,look at that passion when he's doing his ting on stage la...while doing his Blues solo on stage (which was pretty neat), he had the most bizzare facial expression and body movements behind the awesome brown gradient guitar of his.hahahaha.he looked like he was on a high and was totally immersed in playing the instrument la.hahaha.cannort take it.me n my bro agreed that he looked like some geek training like 8hrs a day in his dorm b4 showing off to his crush fer the 1st time la.haha.did he noe how he looked like on stage or nort.hahaha.u gotta see it to believe it la.but weird expressions aside.really appriciate his skills n voice.he got such a great voice la.

next up.Robert Randolph and the family band.nv if the bassist look like some gangsta.or the keyboardist look like fred durst from limp bizkit.haha.he was wearing the baseball cap fred durst-style la.haha.fat n chubby oso.damn funny.anw,this guy was playing on some weird looking fretboard instrument.the pedal steel guitar.n man, it sounded great.nice country-inspired funky music.way to go guys.just expanded my music range again.haha.
